For Mattress
Comfort, Consider a Memory Mattress
What some people call a memory
mattress is made out of what's known as
memory foam.
Memory foam is a polyurethane material, with certain
chemicals added to determine the density of the foam.
Generally, its firmness varies when it's exposed to heat and
cold.
This is what lets a memory
mattress mould itself to the contours of your
warm body as you lie in bed. As you move durnig the night, the
memory mattress will mould itself to your
new position, leaving no gaps between you and the bed. It's
those gaps, which can't be avoided with traditional
coil spring mattresses, that cause
discomfort.
Even though memory foam is not quite
as expensive as it was when it was introduced a few years ago,
it's still a high end option. However, you can get some of the
benefits of a memory mattress without the
high price tag by putting a memory foam mattress
"topper" on top of a traditional mattress. This
foam is generally about 6 inches thick, enough to provide the
"memory" effect and almost the mattress
comfort you'd get from a memory
mattress.
